MY ETHICS

I aspire for my offerings to being anti-white supremacy, fat liberatory, gender affirming, leatherqueer honouring and sex worker positive.

I strive to stay open to folks’ varied relationships with spirituality, magic, their bodies, identities and the world.  

I believe in Indigenous sovereignty, safety and the call for Land Back by Indigenous folks.  

I believe that Black lives matter (and more than matter). 

I support sex workers autonomy, safety and self-determination. 

I believe gender can be fluid and that folks have a right to safely and confidently live their truthful identity. 

I am committed life-long to treating lands, waterways, all beings and people with dignity and respect.  

I am committed to believing disabled folks knowledge, experiences and right to self-determination.

Part of putting my ethics into action is contributing to mutual aid and financial reparations. 

MY STORY

Exploring magic as a child allowed me safety, respite and connection. I talked to the Ocean, saw spirits and sensed energy no one else seemed to notice. In years to come, these treasured moments ceased, and traded places with survival and persistence, but perhaps there was magic in that too. 

At 17, I was locked out of my childhood home and spent the next few years figuring out how to survive amidst C-PTSD, abandonment and capitalism. I felt a lot of shame, but glimmers kept me going: beloved femmeships, coming into my queerness and learning the joy of home anywhere I’d lay my head, no matter how impermanent I knew it might be. 

Setting up home invited me into a new experience to have autonmy over my beliefs and space to practice magic. I recall my first time falling asleep with a pendulum under my pillow, and asking it to guide me in my dreams. These kinds of practices are now everyday, but at this time I was just starting to step into my autonomy around home, spirituality, choice and belonging. 

Tarot and oracle cards had been around  a bit in my youth, but ​my relationship with Tarot really began when I got my first deck. I used the cards daily and was amazed how the same cards followed me for months, while other cards never surfaced. As I began reading for others (around 2012), I quickly saw similar patterns emerge. Alongside the cards themselves, something else – much deeper and beyond words - opened in me and I’ve been working from that place ever since. 

As a non-Romani person, it is pertinent for me to acknowledge Tarot as a divination practice and tool widely connected to Romani culture. In particular, that it is/has used by many Romani folks as a source of income in societies that enact(ed) genocide and wrongly discriminate(d) them, and continue to do so. I still use Tarot, while also expanding divination practices using many other tools that are rooted in practices connected to my own lineages from Poland and Portugal. 

Astrology had my attention since reading it in my moms magazine as a youth. Then, anything I could get my hands on, even when I didn't understand the jargon yet, satisfied something in me. The more I got to know, the more I understood myself and the world. Studying astrology and offering readings has unraveled such delight and I’m excited to continue widening my wisdom. 

From 2010 - 2017, I co-organized Queer Femme gatherings which ranged from park afternoons to Femme Friday’s hosting 20-75 femme, femme-curious and femme-adjacent folks. More recently, I’ve been hosting leatherQueer leather gathering (cigar socials, leather care, potlucks, etc) and collective song circles. 

In 2012, Eli Manning, a beloved femme witch, brought me to my first Reclaiming Witchcraft tradition class. Reclaiming quickly became my spiritual home that has taught me foundations of magic through intergenerational community. We have a lot of work to do around white supremacy and we are doing it.  

Since 2016, I have been teaching in community witchcraft, kink, rituals, tarot and more.

MY TEACHERS

I have been truly blessed with generous teachers, including leatherqueers, witches, Elders and folks I share a community with. This list below is by no means complete.

My first Reclaiming Witchcraft teachers were Ruby Berry and Linda Beet. Other beloved Reclaiming teachers have been Bridges McGowan, Fio, Irisanya Moon , horizon greene , Liam “capt” Snodon.

Andi Javor was my first formal astrology teacher who I learned so much with.

Gilly Thomas is a practitioner I began seeing for individual somatic therapy in 2010 and have continued on for sessions as well as groups and trainings. This led me to completing Level 1 Rubenfeld Synergy Method Training in 2016.

Ylvadroma Marzanna Radziszewski has been a teacher and mentor and is full of radical wisdom. 

Miss Renee and Violet Lea Devotion have shared their wisdom through readings with me.

20+ years ago I completed a social service worker diploma, which has allowed me to do work with those impacted by HIV, substance struggles, sexualized violence survivors and youth. I am a certified Mental Health First Aid facilitator, and am available for private bookings of 8-15 people online or 8-25 people in person.
